Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan wasted little time to pounce on the unsold players in the ISL Draft and have reportedly struck deals with as many as five footballers who failed to attract suitors on Sunday.

The Green and Maroon Brigade have agreed terms with full backs Abhishek Das, Debabrata Roy, Gurjinder Kumar and midfielders Denson Devadas and Shilton D'Silva.

Former Chennai City FC defenders Abhishek Das and Debabrata Roy will be filling the void left by Pritam Kotal, while former Salgaocar FC fullback Gurjinder will have to shoulder the responsibility of guarding the left flank.

With almost all the top domestic players lured by the greener pastures of ISL, the Bagan midfield was greatly lacking in experience. Hence, the officials decided to bring back experienced campaigner and former captain Denson Devadas who also featured for Chennai City FC in the last edition of the I-League.

Along with Denson, the club has also agreed terms with former Pailan Arrows captain Shilton D'Silva.

Even after these five signings, Bagan are in no mood to end their shopping spree. A few other unsold players are on Bagan's radar and it is just a matter of time before a deal is finalized.

And with the injection of all these new players, Bagan will look to pose a serious threat to East Bengal in the Calcutta Football League, something which they failed to do so in the previous seasons.
