Rehenesh Sent Home; Future Uncertain At East Bengal
East Bengal goalkeeper Rehenesh TP has been sent home on Saturday, a day after he allegedly made obscene gestures at East Bengal fans after being heckled by them during the unprecedented fan protest outside at East Bengal Club tent on Friday.
East Bengal coach Trevor Morgan confirmed that Rehenesh is on a 3-4 day leave and has returned home. "Rehenesh has been given 3-4 days off to be with his family. This is probably the best thing for him after what happened," Morgan said.
Rehenesh is, however, expected to return before the tie against Minerva Punjab which on April 23rd, but is unlikely to play a part in it.
Dark clouds of uncertainty are looming over his future at the club, as Rehenesh's recent actions have not gone down well with the club officials.
The officials are contemplating taking action against the former North-East United goalkeeper.
