The Japan born Indian international appeared for Khalid Jamil’s Mumbai FC in last season’s I-League, but was unpicked by any of the 10 sides competing this season.

And the Gift Raikham coached side have secured the services of the veteran 34-year-old.

FeverPitch can also exclusively reveal that the Imphal based side are in positive talks to rope Arata’s FC Pune City teammate Gouramangi Singh. 

The 69 cap India international has been without an I-League club since the withdrawal of Bharat FC. He was recuperating from injury during the last I-League and was overlooked by India’s elite division clubs this time. 

I-League new comers Chennai City FC and Minerva Punjab FC were linked with the experienced centre-half to consolidate their amateur defences. But things seems to have not materialised.

Neroca FC finished 3rd in the I-League second division last season and if the signings of these two veterans go through, Neroca will really be a force to reckon in the 2nd Div.
