Shivanand Haryana FC sign AFC B License coach Shyamjai Meitei as the Head Coach of the club on a 3-year contract.

Coach Shyamjai has the distinction of producing some of India's top footballers in their formative years including the likes of Jakichand, Seityasen and almost all the Manipuri footballers in the India U-17 World Cup squad.

As early as last season, he guided Minerva Punjab U-16 side to their 2nd U-16 Youth League title after lifting the Chandigarh Administrative Cup.

"We were looking for a coach who has a good track record of developing youngsters. We are lucky that we got Shyamjai as our philosophy matches and we share the same vision," said club director Ajit Kumar.

He also stressed on the fact that, "Our objective is to nurture young talents and we want to take it step by step, that is the reason why we have signed a 3-year agreement with the coach. In fact, all our boys have also been signed for at least 3 years."

Meanwhile, coach Shyamjai was ecstatic and said, "I am happy to be here at Shivanand Haryana FC. In fact, I loved it because our vision matches which are to develop youngsters and take a sustainable approach to grow the club."

Coach Shyamjai has already started training the boys but his first major assignment will be to train kids coming for the 15 Days Camp Cum Trial, which kicks off on August 10.
