I-League outfit East Bengal are in line to sign two foreign players from England. The Red and Gold brigade, who have been on a signing spree since the end of the season already have 3 foreigners in their ranks but are eager to bolster their attack even further keeping in mind the I-League.

Alvito D’Cunha, who has been associated with the club for a long time has cherry picked the players who came to participate in a trial at Leeds.

The camp was organized with the help of Lutel James, a volunteer coach at the Chapeltown Football Youth Development and a well-regarded footballing figure in that part of England.

Over 50 players who are currently without a club had attended the camp, and the Bengal giants zeroed in on two players, one of whom is a former Hull City U-18 striker.

East Bengal will be eager to wrap up their transfers before August kicks in, and focus on defending their Kolkata League title for the 9th season in a row.

The Kolkata club started their pre-season from today, with coach Khalid Jamil and physio Garcia overlooking player fitness and detailing their expectations for the next season to the players.
