In the biggest shock of the transfer season so far, the top scorer of the recently concluded I-League season, Aser Pierrick Dipanda Dicka has penned a deal with second division club Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata.

Mohammedan Sporting has made a serious statement of intent with this signing and have made their vision clear of getting back to their glory days of the 70s and 80s.

Considering he was a hot property in the transfer market with his recent exploits in the I-League, Mohammedan Sporting have managed to pull off a coup.

The Cameroonian striker arrived in India in 2015 at DSK Shivajians from the likes of Valencia B. He scored 11 goals in the I-League for Lajong this season.

The inclusion of the 28-year-old will surely boost the strength of Mohammedan Sporting and give their millions of supporters across the country something to cheer about.

When the other two Kolkata Giants are in the news for reasons off the field, Mohammedan have put the Indian football fraternity in a tizzy with this signing. Dipanda would be debuting for Mohammedan in the Calcutta Football League.

In a bid to regain their lost pride and get back to the I-League, Mohammedan have already roped in Denson Devdas from Chennai City FC and also in talks with Kingsley from Aizawl and MohunBagan’s Shilton Paul for the upcoming season.
