Bengaluru FC CEO Parth Jindal Blames Fixture Congestion For Chhetri Injury

Writing to the AIFF, Bengaluru FC CEO Parth Jindal expressed their discontent at the fixture congestion in the ongoing Federation Cup and requested the final to be moved to a later date, should Bengaluru FC reach it. 

In a 5 point letter, Bengaluru FC highlighted the fact that Cuttack is not suited to host the Federation Cup as the temperatures soar to 42 degrees during 4 pm starts. The grueling fixtures coupled with summer heat have claimed their first victim in skipper Sunil Chhetri, who is certain to miss the rest of the season. 

Bengaluru also pointed out the glitch in the scheduling of the fixtures as they will be playing the semi-final against Aizawl, in less than 48 hours of their last group stage match. They were also vocal about also raised the issue of Aizawl getting an extra day of rest.
